Welcome to the journey that I am so excited to finally share. My name is Carley Byers and I am the founder and director of By Byers Productions. I have been passionate for creating my entire life but found my true place as a filmmaker. I have had incredible opportunities to collaborate with other artists and grow through each piece I create. When founding By Byers Productions I envisioned an establishment with the ability to encompass all of my work. A short dance film made for one of my finals as school. The film explores the beauty of performing while touching upon the struggles that surround it. Thank you and enjoy!
This music video was a pleasure to make; I really enjoyed working with other artists to create something unique! I shot both a dance and guitar performance then intercut between them. It takes place in an installation that incorporates some of my handmade film. I hope you enjoy!
This was an installation assignment for my video class but I thought it came out pretty quirky and fun! The video is intended to be projected on three screens (that is why the image is stretched).
